You Aren't Learning If You Don't Close the Loops

What is the mental, actionable, atomic, simple checklist you would apply to everything you do.

# The Loop Completion Checklist

Before starting anything:

**1. Is there a loop open right now?**
- If yes → Finish it or explicitly kill it with a written post-mortem
- If no → Proceed

**2. Write down what you expect to learn**
- One paragraph minimum
- Must be retrievable later
- Include: hypothesis, timeline, what success/failure looks like

**3. Set the study date**
- Put it in calendar NOW
- Non-negotiable meeting with yourself
- Minimum 1 hour blocked

During execution:

**4. Is this a loop-breaker?**
- When any new "opportunity" appears, ask only this
- CEO request that generates revenue = justified (still acknowledge the cost)
- Shiny object, viral distraction, "good idea" = no

**5. Can I see which phase I'm in?**
- Plan/Do/Study/Act should be visible at a glance
- If you can't tell, you're lost

At completion:

**6. Did I study against the written hypothesis?**
- Not "how do I feel about this"
- Literally open the document, compare reality to prediction

**7. What changes next cycle?**
- Write it down
- If answer is "nothing" → You didn't study hard enough

**8. Close the loop explicitly**
- Declare it done
- Archive the learning
- Clear the mental space

---

That's it. Eight checkpoints. The entire system collapses to: **Write hypothesis → Set study date → Finish → Compare → Change something → Close it.**

Everything else is commentary.
